Only guys answer please? did he care for me?

while we were seeing each other i drove him crazy...i think him being my first bf made me really insecure...i would always get mad at him...and even if i acted like a psycho ***** he was always there for me..with open arms...of course this relationship came to an end....we cotinued to hookup...but i felt that the feelings between were still pretty much there....for awhile he still called me pretty often...then this relationship took a turn....i guess the more i saw him the deeper in love i fell....i knew he cared for me but in the end...i think he realized i was falling for him....so he backed away....even though we kept on makind a pact to be good...things never fell through...now im here empty...=(
