My Pom is having seizures (stiffening of the legs)?

I think...My doctor has done bloodwork and ekg and everything is normal. I am very concerned they want to give him anti seizure medicine,but I worry that is too strong. We are in the doctors office every other month with something. Are poms this sensitive? Does anyone have any ideas? Please let me know...Thanx a Million
